hey alex, how about a forum where members can train for battle and challenge eachother to a friendly battle, or a battle to the death.

Sounds good to me... We need to work out a system where we can 'make armies' and 'battle them' efficiently and enjoyment-ly....

Well, we could just use the RPG forum...
But, if not, we could set up a new one in the Team Games department; I think, to begin with, each user should be issued with (let's say) 1000g to spend in the "shops" (a weapons store, recruitment centre, vehicle garage and stuff like that...) Then, each member gets their own control centre thread where they can record their spendings and be challenged to fights or offered alliances by other users. The way the fighting part would work, well, it'd be a bit complicated, but here is an example:
Phantom General VS. Gimpy, Lord of all that Breathes!
Phantom General has an army of 10 men all with 30HP. Gimpy, Lord of all that Breathes has an army of 10 men all with 30HP.
Phantom General applies a sword to 5 of his men. Sword does 10HP damage to each enemy unit.
Gimpy, Lord of all that Breathes! applies a shield to all of his men. Shield reduces enemy units' damage by half.
Phantom General applies a sword to 5 of his men. Sword does 5HP damage to each enemy unit.
Okay, so it's a little basic and hard to work out, but if we all put in some effort, I'm sure we can get this thing off the ground!!!

I think to ask an opponet you could instant message them on the forum asking if you would like a battle, then we could go from there on the thinking

Hmm, we could use that, but we'll need to edit it a lot to please everyone. Like I think we need to add a wolf-human hybrid class for me.

That's a bit similar to WOW, don't ya think?
Well, I like the idea of races, but I think we should have more BOS specific, i.e. lobsters, chupacabras, dragons, humans, wolves, tigers, turkeys and so on...

How about we take that, and work on it. And seeing as how I have never played WarCraft, could someone please tell me what all those stats mean.

Post by phantom general on Dec 15, 2004 19:57:14 GMT -5
here is a breakdown of the stats: <insert race here> casters: <insert spellcaster(s)> siege: <insert siege weapon(s)> melee: <insert consentration(light being weak heavy being strong medium for balanced)> ranged: <insert consentrationlight being weak heavy being strong medium for balanced)> elite melee: <insert unique(yes if so, no if not)> elite ranged: <insert unique(yes if so, no if not)>
unknown means i'm lazy maybe means the same thing

Ah... Is this a suitable example for lobsters?
Lobsterian casters: Shrimp siege: King Prawn melee: Heavy ranged: Medium elite melee: Dunno elite ranged: Dunno
(I wasn't sure of what the "elite" catagories meant...)

Hmm, I'll try it too.
Wolfa (what I might call my human-wolf hybrid. Maybe...) casters: Wolfa Magicians, Wolfa Witchs siege weapons: Catapults, Rams? melee: heavy ranged: heavy elite melee: yes elite ranged: yes power: Anticipation - +10 evasiveness or something
Something like that, I realize I might have gave myself too much of an edge.
