yes, but we need some rules to prevent saying a race is "all powerful and can destroy everything in one fell swoop".
rules for creating a race:
1. NO OVERPOWERING- you can have heavy on both counts but then you can't have elite class for either melee or ranged. 2. natural power isn't a siege weapon, it's an edge.- if your race has a natural power, post it. 3. you need some sort of siege weapon, you can have up to 2 types at one time 4. you don't have the option for elite class if the attack focus isn't heavy and in accordance to the first rule you can't have elite class when you have both melee and ranged set to heavy.

Jesus, it was an example. But I guess having unlimited troops is okay, huh? Or maybe having complete control over the flood, and the death star, and halo.

Well then, I think I'll go fly to some universe in my new ship some spies of mine stole from the government, and take it over. Who knows, I think I might take over some more, maybe 10.

The race creator should be points based.
Prototype Rules:
Each person get 25 points.
Casters cost 3 points for each type of caster.
Siege cost points for how good the weapon is. IE a catapult is better than a ram and a siege tower is better than a ladder. So catapults would like 4, rams 2, ladders 1 and towers 3 (something like that)
Melee: These would be relatively cheap. Maybe 2 points for each type.
Ranged: 2-3 points for each again?
Elite Melee: 4-5 points?
Elite Ranged: 5-6 points?
I don't know how we could balance special powers...
So it'd be something like this:
Billy Hooligans Casters: Gangster with a bong (3 pts) Siege: Garbage Can ladders (1 pt) and Back Alley launchers (catapult-4 pts) Melee: Wasted Homies (2 pts) Ranged: Wasted Homies with guns (3 pts) Elite Melee: Gang lord (5 pts) Elite Ranged: Gange lord in a car (6 pts)
TOTAL: 24 points, if my math suits me right.
Get it?

Ah, so we like, spend points for our armies for that battle, but should they all come back afterwards, or we win points for that battle from the enemies to supply for our next battle?

Well, my point system was only for creating balanced races. With my system you could choose to specialize in melee combat, ranged infantry, siege equipment or whatever (by the by, I think we should add an Armor category) I didn't intend for it to be used making armies, but it very much could be. I used to play a tabletop war game where you made armies and battled them (it was based on "The Lord of the Rings"! ) but you built armies based on points. Now, I doubt we'd want to buy individual troops (battles would be small/take along time to start) so we could say 5 pts for a 500 man strong company, or something like that.

hmm, points for racial strength is a good idea, but for a company of soldiers, i'll think about that. okay, here is an idea: we control a kingdom each and as we progress through each battle, we gain 1 additional unit of 50 soldiers, 5 cavalry, 25 archers, 20 spearmen or 1 siege weapon, we gain expierience through victories on the battlefield and as we "level up" we have the option to improve or heal our armies through policies, which will vary from strengthening focus X to hiring a mercinary unit for the next battle. each unit will be fully healed after each battle sucessful or not.

okay, scrap that idea and the rules.
i have my race up: undead casters: warlock(3), necromancer(3) siege: catapult(4), scorpian(3), ladders(1) towers(3) melee: beserker-heavy(2) ranged: skeletal marksman- medium(4) elite melee: swamp mammoth(5) elite ranged: no
total: 24

I think I get where you're coming from there, general... How about every battle we win we gain an extra 5% of the cash and armed forces we had prior to the battle or something easy to work out, like that?
