Been trying lots of new styles over the last few months. Here are a few of my best creations:
This one is called "We are secretly Goths". It's of me, Alice and Jake and was the first one I drew in this style. The reason for the title was that the style was inspired by images I'd seen Goth kids draw ages ago... I gave it to Alice as a gift and she liked it.
"Live and Love" - this one's inspired by a song by Okkervil River (an AMAZING band) called "John Allyn Smith Sails". It's the story of a poet who kills himself (it's a real story) by jumping off a bridge. I've always had preminitions that I will die by falling off something and hitting concrete. The writing in this picture is the opening lyrics of the song.
"Love To a Monster" - Another Okkervil River inspired one; this one is named after the song and the lyrics of the first three verses provide the background.
This one has no name but is me in olden days clothes. It's in a different style to the rest, inspired by the cover of a Love As Laughter album.
