My uncle and some friends stayed at some old house when they were students. In the night he saw the glowing figure of a man dressed in a Georgian-style frilly shirt, standing just over the bed and looking PISSED OFF. My uncle experienced complete paralysis at the time, not unlike I did, and could do nothing but hide under the covers in absolute terror. About an hour later he chance a peek out, only to find another glowing apparition! This one had the same style clothes, but looked very concerned and in fear about something. My uncle simply looked away and lay perfectly still until morning...
My uncle is a serious man, a christian and no liar. Though his friends, who were asleep, saw nothing, the experience has understandably shaken him up and he doesn't like talking about it.
My own grandmother told me she came downstairs one evening to find what she believed was her deceased father's spirit - plain and simple to see - sitting in his favourite chair. She wasn't fazed a bit - she was glad to see him, and holds to her story to this day. As far as I know, there have been many ghost sitings by my relatives - maybe it runs in the family!

As you may know on here I live in Florida. But, my grandparents used to live in a house in Texas. My sisters lived with them for two or three years or sumthin, so I came to visit them for a few months. I didn't know it then, and did not find out untill a few years ago but that house was haunted. The previous residence had been a couple of nasty old people who hated kids. I slept by a screen door that was on the side where a small hill was. The door was open so I could see through the screen door one night and while I was trying to go to sleep I saw a small trycicle. Now we didn't own one to my knoledge now. I might just not remember it but, when I looked at it I noticed it was moving. UPHILL. I freaked and hid under my covers. I found out years later that a bookcase was thrown at my sister Aimee, Alex can even ask her if anyone doesn't believe me. Then a few years back at my old house her in Melbourne I saw going to bed and out of my wall was a hand that looked like it would belong to swamp man (a really weird cartoon character). My mom was pushing me and my sister Charlie when it happened but by time I jumped and screamed it was gone, so neither me nor my sister or mom could see if it was real. I was of course, called crazy for seeing it. And most recently, about three years ago I was walking down the hallway of my new house with blankets and pillows in my hands and I was knocked on the floor with a push. The hallway was pitch black so I ran screaming for my fuckin life. Or so I thought at the time. Those are my encounters with ghosts. I forgot one thing about the house in Texas though, the stairs allways made creepy noises and my grandma forbided any of us kids to going in the attick. Thats where most of the noises came from. I wish I could go back with my friends to check it out.

Hey Tim, have parents had any strange experiences within your house?
Know any history of the house? Deaths, etc?
I'm sure no one can kep a rational mind with that kind of stuff going on....... You should get a medium, lol.

No, my parents have never seen anything, nor have I divulged anything with them - they would just worry about me. I once (again true) saw a little boy crouching at the front gate of our house when I was playing street football with my brother. Embossed in shadow, despite the sunny day, the boy was there one second, gone the next. Dissapeared. I forget if my brother could see the kid. Don't think my house is some dusty, creepy ghost-filled haunt, it's a bright and happy place! Though an old friend of our family is a medium and said once she felt a presence in our house. The old lady we bought it off of about 11 years ago had a husband who died here... I don't know, I just don't know.

The crouching boy appeared to be weeping.

'Fraid I can't say I've ever had any interesting/terrifying experiences with apparitions or swamp men...
Once when I was a young 'un, at night I would hear a monotonous chiming bell that was keeping an obvious tempo so that it couldn't be something blowing in the wind. What did my young mind deduce? That it was the spirit of my deceased grandmother attempting to communicate with me from beyond the grave! Turned out it was my streetlight fashioned night-light...it made a bell sound everytime it went into another set of flashing light patterns.

I would say EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! But I've just burned out almost all my energy. Things like this I consider to be my speciality. If you'll bear with me, I may be able to help you out. Tim's brother sitting and drawing one minute, in the car the next, heard this before. What you saw probably wasn't a ghost, but a being that exists similar to ghosts. What it wants is energy, and it gets this from you, simply by you paying attention to it. If you get scared, it gets even more energy. Beings like this like to disguise themselves as relatives. I have experienced that paralysis phenomenon quite a bit. All you really got to do to get out of it is use raw will power, but sometimes it requires quite a bit. All the times it's happened to me, however, there's been no dark figure. What I think, is that you were in a different state of mind, one where there was less difficulty to see onto the plane of reality that ghosts and the like exist on. For some reason, you got frightened (possibly by a shadow created by a coat or something), and your mind created that figure. It only got scarier, and the being only appeared to get more malicious. And trust me, your mind can do that. Those other times there was the dark figure, it had to have been another creation of the mind, or an actual entity. I've heard about these things appearing when someone has an Out-of-Body experience, and I've personaly had to help a friend with one. I think his was probably an actual entity, and it was stalking him due to his bringing his special necklace, an upside-down pentagram (with two points at the top) on a chain. Please forget all the bullshit you've heard about this symbol, and especially the right-side up pentagram. Anyway, I told him to get rid of it, and then come out of the room to face it with me. It seemed to lurk in the darkness. Well shit, I've got to go eat with my mom, I'll come back on later.

I tried calling Coast to Coast once, but everyone and their sister calls there so the lines are always backed up. I will get through someday though....and I'll talk in my trucker voice so they accept me right and proper.

just listen on weekends, or atleast Friday, that's the best show 'cause it's open lines, they just let people call in with stories for 4 hours.
