Mine would have to be Catch 22, War of the Worlds or Lord of the Flies.

I like George Orwell books, specifically "1984" and "Animal farm"...
Another good book is "Book Selecta".

I don't really have any favorite book series, unfortunately. I liked 1984, but the end was just so damn depressing, it put a bad note on the book for me.

In my version of 1984, the end will be better and there will be robots with lasers and ninjas and a big chase through a pie factory. I haven't read all of the book yet, but I doubt that happens at the end, and even if I had read it all, it'd be spoiling it, wouldn't it? I suspect Winston and Julia will die, though.

Hm... I don't wanna spoil it for ya or anything, dude... But it's much, much worse than that... This works out well though; I need someone to converse with about this novel!

Well I'm at the most boring part so far - the bit where Winston just reads that book about the Brotherhood for like 20 pages (yawn). Unfortunately, my book had an introduction by some gay literacy douche and he spoiled a lot of it and gave away loads of parts I haven't got to yet... Bastard. I won't go into detail, but he talked about that guy Winston trusts from the inner party (forgot his damn name!!!), the old bloke who owns the shop and basically how Winston and Julia are tortured into betrayal... BASTARD!!!

H.G Wells 'The war of the Worlds' is such a facinating book. It was written in 1896 and still manages to frighten the general public (remember the panic when it was broadcasted in 1936 in the style of news report? The public who tuned in late thought it was real and went into mass panic! A man even shot his neibourghs water tower thinking it was a Martion tripod machine!)

I'd have to say "The Lord of the Rings", "A Tale of Two Cities", and "Jurassic Park" are my favorites. Steven Spielberg is making another "War of the Worlds" movie coming out this summer, which should be quite bueno!

He hasn't made an EPIC ADVENTURE TYPE FILM in awhile, his most recent films have been kind of smaller scale stories ("Catch me if you can" and "The Terminal" both were rather good movies I thought) and this film should be an EPIC ADVENTURE TYPE FILM. And we all know that Stevie makes awesome EPIC ADVENTURE TYPE FILMS! ("Jurassic Park", "Indiana Jones", "Jaws", "E.T.", need I say more!?)
I have faith in him...
