I've had some pretty ridiculous dreams. One time a troop of evil French mimes with cleavers was chasing my family through a museum of modern art in Paris, but it was especially freaky because in trying to be artsy and stuff the museum was a giant maze. I eventually got fed up with the freaking mimes and found a sculpture-ish thing with an axe in it, took the axe, and took care of the mimes. I still don't know why I was in France, though...
Anyway, I've had some really, really messed up dreams in the past, so I'll post some tomorrow... As for now, I have to go to sleep and possibly have another messed up dream because I have been thinking/reading about messed up dreams for the past half hour...WOOHOO!!

Dreams are supposed to be a different person, everyone is really two people; you have the conscious, or left brain which is the part that IS you, and then you have the right brain, or your subconscious, which dictates your dreams and other things, according to Freud and other psyocholgists. Pretty interesting stuff.

If by "smart," you mean reading a lot of crap, then yeah. Reading is the best way to increase your vocabulary. I go on forums like www.totse.com where you learn a shit-load of stuff. I seriously reccomend everyone go on Totse, it's a good place to discuss conspiracies, religion, drugs, philosophy, etc.
