Christ, not even the tumbleweeds bother to pass through this place any more. It's just such a shame that I never grew up to become a famous cryptozoologist, nor did I ever manage to master psionics. If either of you are admins, could you give me an honorary position as a moderator on the chupacabra board? elchupacabra.com is the reason I found this forum in the first place.

Can't believe I'm the last man standing. And to think I was never even a member of the inner circle.
In these hard times of cynicism and political strife, it does genuinely bring a tear to my eye to think back to the good times I had in my life, which were totally incidental to posting here but still strongly linked.
Jesus Christ, whatever happened to that 14 year old kid? Those hot Texas summers back in, what was it, 2004? No one around for miles but my grandparents, left alone with nothing but an internet connection and my own imagination. Psionics, cryptozoology, there was no limit to what I could believe in back then. I'd stay up all night researching Nazi UFOs and waiting to see if anyone had posted anything good here. My actual memories of this place are sparse, but I'll never forget that you guys didn't judge anyone or ever look down on anyone for sharing their dreams, no matter how weird or impractical. I talked about purchasing a pygmy goat and naming it Ulysses S Grant and not for a second did anyone question my ability to carry it out or even the fundamental motivation behind such a plan. I said I was going to buy a boat and hunt down El Chupacabra and you guys believed in me when even my grandparents felt it was necessary to lay out the impracticality of such a goal. We could roleplay anything and everyone would play along no matter what.
We were here before Baby Yoda, before Donald Trump, before reddit, before 4chan. Before the iphone opened the internet to hordes of normies who conspired to take away what we had, which was acceptance and belief and absolute stupidity. This website has to die at some point. I don't know how much profit proboards can make from hosting a free server for a defunct form of communication. Not even the spambots bother with old school forums anymore. I never understood half the shit you guys were talking about, with the MrShrimpy fanfics and whatever, but I understood that you guys were cool with everyone. I hope everyone is doing good now. I just hope someone reads this before the plug finally gets pulled.

Rome was always in decline
And yet the senate still adjourns
This forum never really rose
And yet the last of us still mourns
