The article claims that he suffers from malignant egophrenia. From what I've read the sufferer is a prominent person in power who believes they are fighting evil when they are really perpetuating it.

This is another interesting article. It claims that Jesus Christ was really a narcissist. I don't know whether or not to believe this... it's proof comes from quotes from the extremely corrupted book known as the Bible. (I hope I don't get bashed by the politically right for that) Then again quotes can be interpreted differently by different people. samvak.tripod.com/narcissistgod.html

a lot gets lost in translation, only reading the Bible in its original language, with an understanding of the customs and cultures of the time it was all written at, can one truly understand it all... which i guess is quite impossible these days...
ignoring Christ's divinity makes it easy to use quotes of His to label Him a narcissist...

That's what I meant by misinterpretation. But what definite proof of his divinity do we have anyway? The fact that he has had this mystical effect on people for centuries now?

i just had an interesting thought, talking with my bro here...
people often discount the Bible's veracity because it was written by man... on the other hand, i was saying to him there's no definitive proof of anything, since something can change after a while and nullify any previous conception of it... my example was that there's no proof that when you drop an object it will fall to the ground, proof isn't simply "because it's always happened", one day it could not happen, and then we'd be frakked sideways eh... well then he said, that would go against the laws of physics, and i countered that those laws were written by man, just as some argue the Bible was (as a means to discount it), sooooooo....
idk where i'm going with this... just saying pretty much everything requires a degree of faith...
and yes, that does tend to piss me off a lot...

What is the oldest surviving religion, anyway? I think its Hinduism. Is it Hinduism?

Yeah, but there's a difference between faith and intuition.
Faith is purely emotional while intuition is knowledge you naturally feel exists but you may not have physical proof of it.

i dunno, i think most people intuitively feel there is a God, or at the very least higher power(s)... who/what that power is, thats where faith comes into play...

Yeah, even though I think the God thing is nothing but a bunch of bull, I can't help but wonder/want there to be someone or something that made this all happen.
