Its intentionally mis spelled 'owned'. My guess on its origin is that one day in an online game, sombody hit the p key instead of the o key when typing 'OWNED!' and it spread like some kind of horrible Rash. An awesome one, but a horrible one.

That makes sense...I never really thought about it, though.

It's ownage but with a "P" because of P's proximity to O on the keyword.

note: due to the stuff i have to do today and start right now, i will not post the narrative right away... check back at this post for when i do.
here it is:
it was dark and quiet at the camp... not a soul stirred, except maybe the reaper silently drifting through it... it's target was simple: dashal's adoptive son. this was the goddess of death's punishment method of choice, the death of the first born... though dashal had been denied as such... she had to improvise, killing the bastard son of dashal was more than fitting... the reaper was spotted by him, then it went to work... it's orders were to make his death an example to the humans of just how much she truly favoured dashal, now... the reaper strikes repeatedly, unrelenting with it's blows... keeping him alive as long as possible... after about 500 or so blows, the reaper turned him inside-out then repeated the violence... the young man's bodyguards silently moved into position, as they were trained to be... when the reaper finally finished him off... he clearly was dead, the bodyguards charged the creature, in hopes of being adopted themselves... the 1000 or so men were cut down... then as dawn finally broke... to add insult to injury it conjoured up a sign saying in the very blood spilled: "the goddess of death sends her regards." then left promptly... this struck a great fear in the men... though it failed to get the intended message across, it sealed the humans' morale quite firmly.
